Abstract

The article analyzes the deep deindustrialization of the Russian economy and the main challenges for the formation of a new industrial society within the framework of the 4th Industrial Revolution. The expediency of orientation to reindustrialization is substantiated, as a necessary prerequisite for which the authors singled out industrial re-institutionalization, on the one hand, as an instrument for the revival of Russian industry in the context of the need to ensure economic security in the intensified geopolitical confrontation in the short and medium term, and on the other hand, as a mechanism of formation of institutional grounds for Russia's involvement in the unfolding of the 4th Industrial Revolution in the modern world. The most important component of industrial re-institutionalization is the new industrial policy at its formal legislative level, as well as the creation of institutional organizations (federal and regional funds for industrial support) at the level of the institutional structure of industrial re-institutionalization.
