Abstract
Innovation the engine and an incentive for the progress of society. A necessary condition and the main source of innovation, contributing to increase the level of techno-economic development and quality of life of its citizens, are an investment. At the same time, investments can also be realized without innovation, the objective resulting in a deformation of the structure of the economic system, its preservation in the framework of the outdated technological system. Without the innovative focus of the investment is impossible to ensure new quality of economic growth, as its main driving force acts as scientific and technical progress. In turn, innovation without investment is unrealistic: achievements of scientific and technical ideas without investment funds cannot be implemented.
