Abstract
The article considers features of development of the market of educational services in general education, analyzes the current trends of its development. As the criteria of the study quantitative and qualitative indicators are adopted, such as number of educational institutions, number of students, schools rating, funding, salaries of teachers. Information obtained in the framework of the Federal statistical observations, departmental monitoring and sociological research is used for the analysis.
