Abstract
The current topic of ensuring environmental safety is considered in this paper. The authors consider the procedural problems of ensuring proper environmental safety in the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania, since the relevance of improving the environmental situation for the republic is associated with the increase in socio-ecological tension, an increase in diseases, and the natural decline of the population. The author notes that ensuring environmental safety is the main mechanism of functioning of the rule of law, which acts as a guarantor of environmental conservation.
