Abstract
The article is devoted to the modernization of the Russian political system, which is an important topic in the context of the ongoing construction of the Russian state. Modernization can take place in different ways, including through political engineering. An example of such a design on the initiative of the government was the creation of the All-Russian people's front (ONF) as a platform for the implementation of public initiatives and the formation of civil society in the country. Priority areas of ONF work are considered on the example of the regional office in the Rostov region
