The 1993 political crisis in Russia: outcomes and lessons for contemporary politics

Abstract

The article is aimed at the study of the political crisis of 1993 in Russia, which became a key moment in the formation of the modern political system. The author reveals the main preconditions, object and subject of the conflict. The causes and consequences of the crisis, including the confrontation between the executive and legislative powers, difficulties in the economy and social tensions in the country are considered. The author emphasizes the importance of studying the crisis as an indicator that predetermined the further strengthening of statehood.
