In the article the peculiarities of customs control in terms of food embargo; the analysis of activity of the customs authorities to prevent the import of sanctioned goods of animal origin; the role of customs authorities in preventing imports to Russia banned sanctions goods.

The article considers the current state, as well as the factors of the development of an integrated commodity market in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEC). The analysis of the normative legal base that forms the basis of the technical regulation in the EAEC has been made and the conclusions on the priority directions for the development of technical regulation and standardization for the purposes of further integration and increasing the competitiveness of the EAEC member countries business have been made.
