И.И. Рогов, Т.К. Фарапонова

The history of relations between Russia and Turkey dates back several centuries and contains many tragic pages. This article analyzes two main areas of interaction geopolitical (the problem of the straits) and energy (the problem of trade in hydrocarbons). An analysis of the accumulated problems and the existing state of affairs led to the conclusion that the relations between the two require a restart on both the diplomatic and the economic front. This article is the first in a series of articles that will discuss the most topical aspects of interaction between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Turkey.
