Political analysis of problems implementation of the state policy of reforming the Russian education system is attempted in the article. The main priorities of state policy are formulated and sustained. The importance and relevance of the theme is determined by the task of improving the efficiency and competitiveness of Russian education as a key factor of "sustainable development" of the society.
