The article is focused on research of the open government data on the base of Russian and foreign experience. The analysis is based on the data of quantitative and qualitative sociological research. In the article the existing problems and difficulties in the implementation of this program and ways to improve the possibility of using the existing experience in the Russian segment, including the use of civil initiatives are revealing.
