Civil society has become one of the most controversial and used terms in recent years, but the frequent references to civil society, politicians, scientists and civil society does not talk about his knowledge and clarity of interpretations. Despite the numerous works dedicated to the civil society nor in the interpretation, not the terminology, nor in its numerous faces, there is still no clarity and opening. The relevant and unexplored question is the types of models of civil society. The greatest practical activity of civil society unfolded in the post-Soviet States. Civil society has played an active role in occurrence of which is, destroying the modes contributing to the transformation. The article considers the model of civil society, the specificity and the kinds of models developing in the post-Soviet States.

The Concept of civil society in historical retrospect represented different models of civil society, defined ideological and political characteristics of specific eras. It is important to identify the transformation of the concept of civil society in different historical periods, in different circumstances and eras, including the present, and comparing them to give a characteristic of modern civil society.

The situation in the modern Republic of Dagestan very complex and confusing. The accumulated last decades of problems now increasingly flowing out, threatening and hitting stability, and often their surge occurs at the same time. Modern social and political transformation in the Republic of Dagestan hasn't positive results. The situation in the Republic and the recent social and political transformation requires careful analysis. The article highlights the main problems of Dagestan and its specificity.
